I am absorbing the contents of the DVDs I rented from Scarecrow video, some with the intention of viewing later and others for the intention of immediate devouring because their contents are too fragile.
I am very too much getting in my own way of doing things.
I am watching a DVD called Immersion which is comprised of (literally) various artists engaging in different musical compositions that come across as sound-based artworks rather than "tunes." Curiously, the artwork and the music frequently (but only temporarily) fall out of sync when I am skipping around in the VLC playback bar. Normally when you cut from 13:36 to 7:05 you would expect to see different images frozen in time, but in the case of this DVD the images take several seconds or so to actually change and correspond to their auditory accompaniment. No wonder Handbrake had trouble burning this one.
